CARPENTRY & PLUMBING
Carpentry is all about the building of wooden structures, the forming or shaping of wood to create, restore, or repair useful or decorative objects. Plumbing is a system of piping that carries water into and out of a building. This subject is not easy because math is involve and it talks about building constructions or even houses. This subject talks about the LUMBERING, LAYOUT and EXCAVATION, FLOORING SYSTEM, FIBER ROOFING, CENTROID, and a lot more.
Wood joints is one of the projects we've made. It is a part of woodworking that involves joining together pieces of wood, to create furniture, structures, toys, and other items. Some wood joints employ fasteners, bindings, or adhesives, while others use only wood elements. The characteristics of wooden joints - strength, flexibility, toughness, appearance, etc. - derive from the properties of the joining materials and from how they are used in the joints. Therefore, different joinery techniques are used to meet differing requirements. For example, the joinery used to build a house is different from that used to make puzzle toys, although some concepts overlap.

Wood joints is very important especially in making furnitureandconstructinghouses.

FISHERY ARTS

Generally, fishery is an entity engaged in raising and/or harvesting fish, which is determined by some authority to be a fishery. According to the FAO, a fishery is typically defined in terms of the "people involved, species or type of fish, area of water or seabed, method of fishing, class of boats, purpose of the activities or a combination of the foregoing features". The definition often includes a combination of fish and fishers in a region, the latter fishing for similar species with similar gear types.Fishery may involve the capture of wild fish or raising fish through fish farming or aquaculture. Directly or indirectly, the livelihood of over 500 million people in developing countries depends on fisheries and aquaculture.
Studying this subjects helps us to be familiar with the fish and the type of family where they belong. Fish should be taken care of. We should make sure that the water that they lived in is clean.

Aquarium Maintenance Tips

Good aquarium maintenance practices will lead to a healthy aquatic environment and thriving fish , providing years of joy for the hobby. Spending 30 minutes every other week seems reasonable compared to the time and money spent trying to solve a problem, which might have been prevented in the first place. The biggest factor for maintenance is tank stability.aquarium fish As long as everything is running properly and your fish are healthy, there is no need for any major changes, even if the pH or hardness seems to be slightly out of range. Only increases or decreases of the major water parameters will need your careful but immediate attention.

Water Changes

The most talked about part of aquarium maintenance is the water change.A water change should be performed about every 2 weeks. In most cases 10-15% of the tank volume is sufficient. A good habit is to replace the water extracted while “vacuuming” the gravel. This will eliminate uneaten foods and other residues that settle on the substrate. It is highly recommended to check on your water parameters, both, in the tank and the water you use to replace it with. Most tap-water (city water) contains either chlorine or chloramine. Chlorine will air out rather quickly (kept in an aerated bucked for 24 hours) chloramine (chloramine = chlorine + ammonia) will not. Using a water conditioner will neutralize the chlorine in both cases, but ammonia will still be present in the latter. It has to be broken down by the bacteria present in the aquarium. This can take longer than your fish can tolerate.

GRAPHIC SCIENCE & ARTS

Graphic Science and Arts is a skillful subject. This tackles about the methods of doing arts which is very beneficial in planning for a business. The projects that we have made are the detto stenciling, rubber stamping, book binding, silk screen printing and a lot more. The project which I liked most is the book binding because it is not only a project but I was able to use it during the semester as a binder. It requires a lot of effort but it is worth it.

In book binding, we should first use a book lamp to stick all the sheets together and we should sew it. We should also apply glue to hold the sheets together. After you finished the remaining steps, you should trim the sides of the book.

BASIC ELECTRICITY

Electricity (from the New Latin Ä“lectricus, "amber-like"[a]) is a general term that encompasses a variety of phenomena resulting from the presence and flow of electric charge. These include many easily recognizable phenomena, such as lightning and static electricity, but in addition, less familiar concepts, such as the electromagnetic field and electromagnetic induction.

Components of an electrical circuit or electronic circuit can be connected in many different ways. The two simplest of these are called series and parallel and occur very frequently. Components connected in series are connected along a single path, so the same current flows through all of the components. Components connected in parallel are connected so the same voltage is applied to each component.

A circuit composed solely of components connected in series is known as a series circuit; likewise, one connected completelyin parallel is known as a Parallel Circuit.

2 Bulbs in Series- Parallel connection is our last project in Basic Electricity. Though I don't find this subject interesting I am happy that I have learned something.
